Handicapped Handicrafts

"The Vietnam Red Cross reported as many as 3 million Vietnamese people have been affected by Agent Orange, including at least 150,000 children born with birth defects. According to Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 4.8 million Vietnamese people were exposed to Agent Orange, resulting in 400,000 people being killed or maimed, and 500,000 children born with birth defects."

On our way to Cu Chi Tunnel, our bus stopped at this paint shop where war victims of the Agent Orange work. As their source of income, they make paintings made out of egg shell. I was so amazed by the process of it. They may have incomplete body parts but they have a lot of arts and skills in their minds! Amazing!

My favorite of them all. This painting is so relaxing to the eyes and you can really feel the calmness and the peacefulness of the painting even though it is not that colorful. You will be amaze because it was made of egg shells too bad I wasn't able to take pictures of it close up because it was too high for me.

They also offer these cutie sandals that has a very interesting details on it.

Travel post 101

“Travel brings power and love back into your life.”

Last April 23, 2013 til May 2,  my family and I had our vacation at 4 different countries, namely, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. Each country gave us new experiences and everything.

First stop, Cambodia. We decided to have our Cambodian photo shoot together with my Uncle's family. Cambodia is also known as Kingdom of Cambodia that is why their Khmer Clothing looks very elegant.
