H.O.P.E

Last March 21-23,2014, our team, Operation Hope, a group composed of different people with one goal and that is to serve. We had our first and second wave last December and January. This March we went to Tacloban again for our 3rd wave to visit the beneficaries of our pangkabuhayan showcase (mini store business) and the families that we helped to build their house. I really don't want to exaggerate or give you a burden to you on what happened to the victims of Yolanda or what is their status now, my dear readers, but what I want you to feel as you read this post is that you may feel blessed with what we have in our lives today and may God touch you with some of the photos here.

Before coming to Tacloban for a 3 day mission trip and immersion, I really do not know what can I contribute to the people there. All I have with me is my 2 lovely puppets, myself and the hope that comes from my God. But doing mission is not just doing extravagant things such as doing this and that, it is about how you made them feel loved through your presence and through your lives. We can send all the goodies there from here in Manila, but there are things in life that we cannot send using any courier, and that is HOPE from GOD, LAUGHTERS, and YOURSELF.

They need people who will listen to them, who are willing to just listen to them and make them feel loved, and who will give smiles and laughters to them even just for a day. They need GOD and that is what we can never send to them through any kinds of courier because it is within US.

Some of you may disagree with me but I just want to share my reflection based on my experience. This mission trip was not just a simple mission trip for me. I thank God because He gave us so many chances to just listen to the different stories of the people there and to make relationships to the young people there.

There are volunteers who almost lived their lives there. I have two friends whose been working there for relief distribution and stress debriefing of children and parents there. As I listen to them, my heart just melted because they have been absorbing emotions and everything from the victims. As we pray for the victims, let us all include in our prayers the volunteers who are there.

Our team will go back to Tacloban on the 3rd week of May for the assistance of the Cocoa Farming that we are praying for. You can be part of our team by joining us through your own presence or through your generosity. :)

These are some photos taken 4 months after Yolanda.

Even good houses were damaged.

May God use these houses to be the light and salt to their community.

Greater things are yet to come to the victims of the typhoon and I believe that God is not yet done working on them and to our lives!

God bless! :)

Love101

Hello to my first post for 2014! I have so many pending blogs and all of them are not done. Anyway, I just thought of sharing this reflection to you especially ladies out there. Let us start with this... These past few months the Lord has been pushing my limitations in this specific aspect in my life, and I tell you, it is not easy as you think. It requires a radical kind of faith, a strong heart, and ofcourse, sacrifice.

This season God is teaching me to love Him more so I can really know how to love others just like how He loved us first. Okay, lesson 1, we will never learn how to really love if we ourselves do not love the One who created love. How can you give to others what you don't have? Love God and love the Creator of love.

Lesson 2, sacrifice. Choosing to break someone's heart just for you to allow God work on your life, surrendering someone or something so God can move freely to your life and everything, giving up something or someone you really love is the hardest part. If you came from a relationship that Christ is not the center of your relationship, then both of you will never be the solution because it is God's work. He will work on your lives individually and the hardest part, separately. In every sacrifice that we do, God is with us and He will be our strength and comforter.

God needs to break you so you will feel the moment when God is fixing you little by little. It will really be painful but are you not excited for the pain to end? It is like waiting for a caterpillar to be a beautiful and awesome butterfly.

Hold on and ask God to steady your heart. You are strong and you are more than what you think because you are God's princess.

Start praying for him, pray that the Lord will always bring him in God's presence and that God will make him want God wants him to be. And as you pray for him, work on your relationship to God. That will be the best thing you can do while waiting for him.

To my future honey, I will wait for you. You will always be in my prayers. I will always pray that may the Lord will encounter you everyday of your life.

I have said much and I hope you learned something because I am still learning from what is God doing in my life now.

Remember, greater things are yet to come.

Smile and love GOD.

Until next time! ❤️

Love in the Darkness

Since I was a child, whenever I hear the story of Joseph, all I know is that he interpreted the dream and he was sold by his brother because of jealousy but at the end they met each other and the end. Thats it! But when I started reading the Book of Genesis, I have learned something new about Joseph's life.

Genesis 50:20 NIV. "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

Joseph was sold by his brothers, been separated with father, went to jail because of wrong accusation but Joseph still acknowledge the works of God through those trials and hardships he experienced.

God works in mysterious ways and also in different exciting ways! Agree? You better agree! And I believe that He is also working on our lives, everyday. All we need to do is to seek the Love of God so we can see the love in the darkness.

I believe that everyone of us  have 'darkness' in our lives but God intended it for good.

EXPERIENCE LOVE.SHARE LOVE.

Beauty Secrets

Every Monday, I really make sure that I will have a break from wearing make ups. Even if we will go somewhere, I will just have my favorite lippiy color from Revlon. Last Monday, we celebrated my sister's birthday despite of heavy rains and floods but praise be to the Lord that we were safe that night. We ate at Zao Vietnamese Restaurant and I really enjoyed their coffee!I remembered the coffee we had when we are in Singapore and it was really good.

This coffee has a sweet milk under and when the filter is done with its job and ready to stirrrrr!
The coffee looks good, right? It looks interesting. Let me relate it to myself and if you can relate, please comment or email me, okay? I would love to hear from you.

These past few months, I've been praying for a certain concern and I thank God because He is really teaching me to wait and be faithful to Him.

I look like I'm sick whenever I don't have make up. My under eyes are dark, my skin is not smooth, my brows are everywhere and my cheeks are not blushed. My biggest challenge for me is my eyes. I really have biiigg eyebags. Especially when I have my allergy, it is like I'm wearing a huge luggage bag. I have concealers and everything to make eyes look good.

Philippians 2:4 NIV, teaches me how to stop looking at myself and start looking to others. Having a lovely eyes is not bounded in the outer appearance of your eyes but on what your eyes is looking. Start to look at the good side of other people. We might not know that in little things like that, we can brighten someone's day.

I believe that doing this simple act, no make up or any accessory can can make our eyes more lovely than ever.

I Do

Can I sing You a song
Can I pour out my heart
To say Your love is healing me
Just a glimpse of Your grace
And my whole world is changed
Forever and completely I’m in love with You
I’m in love with You I’m in love with You I’m in love with
You Redeemed, made whole
By the love that You have poured out over my soul
Restored, I am made new Father You only You.

I just want to share to you this song of Kari Jobe "I'm Inlove with You" I really love song because it  really melts my heart whenever I hear this on my playlist. I am really an emotional person so I easily burst into tears whenever hearing this song. Recently, I have been praying to God this certain concern  and this song really spoke to my heart and I believe that every one of us just like what the message of this song is saying God wants us to be INLOVE with Him deeply.

My mind and heart was once blur but I know that the Lord is changing my heart and mind glory by glory and when that perfect time comes, I will see the beauty of His grace and love. No eye has seen or ear has heard no mind can know what God has in stored for His children (1 Corinthians 2:9).

To all the single ladies out there! Just a simple but sweet reminder for you, pray for a guy who is more in love with the Lord than anything else and also pray for yourself that you will also be more in love with the Lord than anything else!

Challenge: Let the Lord be your confidant and everything! Be in love with Him everyday and be bounded by His love and grace.

Slavery is Slavery

Romans 6:18 NIV
"You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness."

If I will be given a chance to be slave, obviously, I will choose to be a slave to righteousness.

Slavery to impurities and to other sins will just lead us to DEATH. Slavery to sins will give you a life long experience of death, restlessness and worries.

Yes, life long experience. If we will dwell in this belief, that we are slaves for sin, we will really experience that but if we will count ourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:11 NIV) .... Welcome yourself as a slave!.....to....righteousness!

We all have downfalls and flaws but who cares? Jesus is so great that He can accept us wholeheartedly. I suddenly remember one part of a song, "if His grace is an ocean we are all sinking". See? That is how God loves us, it is like an ocean that has no end.

Sunset scenarios remind  me of how cool and how amazing our Lord is. He make beautiful things in the right time. Just like our love story (for the singles out there!), the Lord has already your story, all we need to do is to offer ourselves to Him and start being a slave to righteousness so when the perfect time comes just like sunset, we will be overwhelmed by the beauty His creation.

As I end this post, think about this: Give your whole life to Him and make a vow to the Lord that from now on, you will be a slave to righteousness.

Hope you enjoyed!

Greener than Green

While doing this post, I am currently singing the song Bluer than Blue, can you imagine that and sing with me? LOL. Okay. These past few weeks, I have been so busy with my masters degree and the deadlines and papers are just killing me. But by God's grace and guidance, I am surviving this course and still in the process of change.

Sometimes we just need to have a time to rest and to relax. What I really like about my school now (will be posting about that soon) is the ambiance of it is so relaxing because it is environmental friendly, there are trees, river, and it is so peaceful. The place is very different from my undergraduate school because it is in Manila and you know how Manila looks now.

When I was in college, my motto was "I need to pass my subjects whatever score I will have, the important is I need to pass". And now that I'm in a different level, that motto is definitely will not work now. But I believe that God allows things to happen because of His purpose to our lives.

"And we know that all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." How sweet, isn't?

All we need to do is to LOVE God, and all things will work for good.

Have time to rest, appreciate nature, and Love God.

Back to my outfit, I am wearing this comfortable dress by Monster Closet and a wedge from The Little Things She Needs which is very comfortable.

Hope you enjoyed!

S-M-I-L-E

Having your "no make-up day" is very important for your face. Giving your skin a break with make ups is like giving your skin a time to rest and to breathe.
I assumed that everyone knows that SMILE is the best and perfect accessory and make up a girl or lady can wear, EVERYDAY without even breaking or irritating our skin.

We are all beautiful and there is no flaw in us in God's sight. That is how God loves and treasures us. I believe that the best beauty care secret is Proverbs 31:30. A lady who fears the Lord is the most beautiful lady in the world.

Having Jesus in your life will give a natural glow to your skin, natural blush on your cheeks, and a natural color on your lips.
And having Jesus in your life doesn't cost you anything! The only thing you need to do is to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. How sweet is that?

Hope you enjoyed!

Young and Free

Oh yes. Young and Free.
To start this post, I just want you to share some of my personal stuff about me.
Let's start with my age, I am 20 yrs. old and a fresh graduate of Mass Communication major in Broadcasting with 18 Units of Education and now I am pursuing my Masters Degree in Holistic Child Development.
First comes to your mind, "Too young, huh?" But no, I mean, age should not matter if you have a dream and not just a dream, but a GOAL

I'm enjoying life to the fullest and by God's grace and love, I am undergoing the process of change. I am not perfect and  I commit mistakes but yet God is making me realize things and is changing me everyday with His love.

Back to my outfit, I wore this ensembles in an event with my dearest Sissy , and I am so happy that I experienced this one with her.

The theme of the event was military glam, and I really didn't consider wearing camouflage thinking that it would be common. I decided to stick to black and gray shade and here it goes.

Here's my sister from another family, check out her blog HERE

Daddy's Girl

Because it's Father's day, I dedicate this post to all the fathers in the world! This was my first ever attempt in writing and this post is very close to me because I do really so much intensely love my Papa :) Here it goes.

my first try in doing some notes, or blog?am i right?whatever. i just want to share my thoughts and practice my writing skills. (in demand masyado ang ganito kay dean.) so please MESSAGE or PM me if you see some grammar don’ts :))) i will accept it whooolleheartedly:))

Well, to start this note, talking about Father’s day this coming Sunday. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! “Becoming a father is easy enough, but being one can be very rough”By Wilhelm BuschEvery boy will be a father someday, even my dearest cutee nephew Lance will become a father (but not now), but it is hard to be ONE. Sacrifices are soo in demand ☺. Just like my father, my loving Papa Boy. Since birth he’s been working abroad. Many occasions in our families he has been missed, but its ok, he never missed calling us in any of those occasions. ☺ I’m blessed having my Papa. Phone and Email is our way of communications. When they have signal, he always make sure to call us. I just L<3VE papa so much thank God for him.
Our very own version of 'Dance with my Father' HAHA.Literally.

To my first boyfriend, driver, bodyguard, lover, friend and ofcourse Papa, I love you so much! And I will be your "Bhi" FOREVER <3

Speaking of my papa, I also like to thank my FATHER. JESUS. ☺ He’s been my father while my papa is absent. I thank my papa that he introduced me to my FATHER, siguro kung hindi ko nakilala agad si Lord, ano kaya buhay ko ngayon? I really thank God that He took care of me na agad. Kasi kung hindi, siguro hindi ko kakayanin. God really knows what are the weaknesses of His children. ☺ Its time to thank our Papa this Sunday, sana nga hindi lang ngayon Sunday e but everyday. And of course, lets also thank GOD for giving our dearest Papas. I’m a Papa’s girl and I love it. I’m a Princess of God and I LOVE it.HAPPY FATHER's DAY sa mga MAHAL na tatay diyan! SALUDO AKO SAINYO! HEPHEP HURRAY! :))Gracias!

Hope You Enjoyed!

Cravings

While I was updating my Facebook account, I saw this on my note. My second attempt to write!I'll show the first one one of this days. So, here it goes.

Presenting Coffee Bean's new yogurt dessert :))

Last June 20 after having our dinner at California Pizza Kitchen (sponsored by Kuya :)) we have decided to have our coffee at Coffee Bean. I really wanted an ice cream but they insist in having coffee, no choice. :)) Kuya told us that Coffee Bean has its new Yogurt dessert. I'm not a big fan of Red Mango or any Yogurt ice creams so I don't found Kuya's suggestion. I ordered for a Pure Chocolate Ice Blended and Kuya ordered for an Almond Yogurt ( am i right). Basta the flavor of his Yogurt was almond. When he had his first spoon :)) he said it tastes like Ferrero so I had one, and it was SOOOO GOOOOD! PROMISE! and for that, i have my new favorite. :))

tama nga sabi nila. " hindi mo matitikman ang bigay kung hindi ka magtatry ng iba, baka mastock ka lng dun."

soo right.

*God is SO WILLING to give us something new, but we human are so selfish that we are just focus on what we want. If we just all know that GOD has something for us that is more than what we have and what we expect. Just give it all. Just Do it :)))

Good thing I've tried that yogurt almond, or else I will be forever stock in Pure Chocolate Ice Blended. :))

And now, I am craving for one!

Hope you enjoyed!

Little Joys

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 18:10
These angels are precious to His sight so let us lead them in to the right direction and let us be a good example to them. For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16

Indescribable

MOA Eye. Sunset view at MOA. Lovely? Yes it is.

I just can't think of how amazing our God is, I mean, He's the best. He made all things beautiful, even us. His works are indescribable, astonishing, breathtaking, unbelievable and everything. He placed the stars in the sky and He know them by name, amazing.

This was supposed an outfit shot but because of the poor quality, I just focused on the view we saw that day. It is more important than my outfit, I know. :)

Wearing my white dress from Plains and Prints is the best decision I made on that day. Very comfy and it feels so cool to wear white because of the weather here in the Philippines.

Hope you realized how great and amazing our God is after reading this post. :)
